Red Herring

ALRIGHT, I have another question for you guys. Y'all must be thinking I'm having an identity crisis or something, but you shouldn't worry: I'm fine. I'm just ready for some change here and there. Today's question is about the blog: do you guys think you'd prefer reading this blog if there were fewer pics of my outfits each day? Or if I'd post more "after the jump", keeping the "real" blog you scroll through a bit cleaner? It's very hard to decide those things for yourself, because what you like yourself isn't always what readers prefer. So let me know what you think!
I had been thinking about adding links to various subparts of my blog like some people have like a link "inspiration", "outfits", "personal", "professional" etcetera, but that wouldn't really work here since I mix all of that together really. I post outfits every day, so I don't see the point in having a link to ALL of my outfits. It's all a bit muddled I guess, but that's just who I am basically! I'm not a very organized person. It's pretty funny how lots of your personality shines through online, even if you're not necessarily the socially sharing type.

ANYWAY about my outfit: I adore this dress. I sort of liked it when I saw it in stores at first, but I was scared it'd look like a potato sack when a person was actually wearing it. In the presales a few months ago it got marked down, and I thought "what the heck, I absolutely love how expensive the fabric and the print look and I would probably even love it if it'd look like a potato sack because it has a bit of a twenties-thirties feel to it". OK I didn't actually think all that but I'm thinking it now and I bought it so I probably was thinking something along the lines of what I just typed.
And I love it, I think it looks surprisingly good on me, I love the fabric, I love the color, I love the length and I love the dots, so it's basically love all around. It's one of H&M's more expensive dresses, but it's totally worth every penny: the quality is superior to most highstreet stuff.
My blog makes me realize I really need more berets. I wear this one ALL the time, I just adore the way it looks! And I don't think I need to explain why I love this coat, so I'm not going to. THERE

dress, coat: H&M
boots: Texto
beret: old
tights: VERY old

I don't have anything interesting to tell you guys today, so I'm just going to share some inspiration posts! Let me know what I should do with my "after the jump" idea btw!!

Dear ASOS, please stop torturing me

Tell me how I will I ever be able to resist that scalloped dress, or that polkadot shirtdress? Jebus Rice.

PS: no, I'm still not over retro fashion. Obviously.

  2. I need me a beret. I'm gonna get my hair cut this week too. And dyed. We'll be haircut twins! At least you don't have a mullet to cut off.

Love the dots. You've got a dotted-dress fetish, don't you?

I like your blog the way it is, too. I never like to click on more than is absolutely necessary, but I'm also lazy!

  9. I love your outfit post so please don't minimize them. :)

What I can suggest though is to keep it the way it is but it's better if the text is right before or after the pictures. Just a suggestion.

  11. I like your blog... It's always seemed sort of rollicking and unpretentious and fun and everything that blogging should be about. All love of fashion and no bullshit. It seems real and honest while still being totally awesome and inspiring.

  12. Beautiful, beautiful coat! Looks very good on you :) I have a similar red coat (happens to be on the blog today), I love that it can make such a bold statement, especially in winter when everything is so gray. You look very pretty (and I have this weird feeling that I've seen you before).

  17. Oh, that dress is incredible on you! I thought about purchasing that dress, but unfortunately it didn't look as good on me as it does on you :( And I like the amount of photos you have. And personally I don't usually like the whole 'after the jump' thing in general. But that's just me!

  18. Personally, I prefer less pictures. Normally with one or two you can show the whole outfit, but then again its your blog and you decide on the quantity of pictures. Also, you have entertaining texts and that's a big plus. I like your blog because you show your 'real self', you can see that it's authentic.
By the way, I'm getting on the plane to Belgium in a few hours! I'm so excited! ahaha I'll ask you later if you know a good second-hand shop, I'm curious about those shops abroad.

  19. Love the nail polish and love the jacket! As for the layout issues, I like that you have a lot of great photos of each outfit and I really don't think you should change that aspect of it. A big reason that I love your blog so much is not just that the outfits are great (and they are) but also the quality of the factory, which is very editorial and so I like looking at all the photos laid out on one page with no extra clicking involved.
