GURL I am psyched. My package arrived in the mail: I gots my denim jumper dress, inspired by Vicky! Ever since she got her denim dungaree dress, the craving for something like it has been ripening in my brain like a cerebral piece of blue cheese. Haha that sounds even more gross than it did in my head.
ANYWAY it arrived and I ripped open the package filled with glee (me, not the package), and hurried upstairs to try the little denim jumper dress on. It seemed a little short when I looked at it, but when I stood in front of my full length mirror (second best present my boyfriend gave me - ever) I couldn't help but let out a gasp of excitement: it looked PERFECT! I had this vision in my head of how it would look ideally and it was even better than I had anticipated. I'm not even exaggerating! It didn't look the way I wanted on the pictures the seller took, but I figured I could take it in or shorten it, but there is no need at all to alter anything. It's THAT perfect.
Haha I'm totally rambling on and now you guys will be expecting me to show up wearing the pretties dress you ever did see. I shouldn't have gotten your expectations up this high! Can't wait to wear it with that cat print blouse. Hope it'll inspire you, Jessie!
Today's outfit is about my new Zara dress I told you about yesterday! Peter Pan collar, polkadots, navy, cute little buttons, three quarter length sleeves and a cute sixties empire waist: this dress it the shiz. The tights are also a recent buy. They weren't marked down, but I couldn't resist their perfect rusty shade. A girl who mostly wears dresses, shorts and skirts can never have enough pairs of tights, and H&M tights are cheap anyway so I couldn't pass up on these. I absolutely love my look today.
BY THE WAY I'm thinking of cutting my hair again. I was looking at some old pics from back in July, and I really feel like I look better with shorter hair. What do you guys think?
short:
better? I feel like my face is flattered more by the shorter haircut. Lay it on me, tell me what you think!
dress: Zara
tights: H&M
necklace: Urban Outfitters
clogs: New Look
PS: Kristin of Crimson Rosella commented on me right after I posted this look because she had bought the same dress in the sales, in the orangey/rust shade, and she was planning on wearing it with dark blue tights, which was pretty hilarious since I had bought the navy blue dress and wore it with orangey/rust tights! What can I say, great minds think alike! She looks absolutely gorgeous with her envy inducing babyblonde locks and that pretty dress, and she spoke the KINDEST words about me so go check her out!!
oh wow! i love the polka dot dress! it's so you :)

What an adorable dress! I think you pull off the shorter cut really well - but it looks great a but longer too so I guess it just all depends on whether you want a change. I'm thinking of cutting my hair short again as well...every time I see an old photo where I have short hair I'm always like "yeah, I look good with that cut."

ReplyDeleteAnd as for the haircut: I think longer hair look great on you, but the shorter haircut was more edgy ;)
Love, Andrea
Hahah, this is too funny... I just took outfit photos today that I plan on posting tomorrow. I got the exact Zara dress but in brown/orangey and I then paired it with navy blue tights. Oh my, we can be twins!
ReplyDeleteP.S- I love you with the short hair! Super sassy!

I honestly don't understand when people don't own a full length mirror. I don't feel like I can leave the house unless I see myself head to toe. I feel like every part of me affects the final outfit...shoes, hairdo, earrings, belt, bracelets. Even the tiniest change makes the whole outfit look completely different. Your boyfriend gets a sytle blogger boyfriend gold star for buying you one!

The shorter hair is more flattering to your pretty eyes and facial features.

ReplyDeleteAlways nice to see a nicely executed polka-dot, love the dress and it suits you down to a T. About your hair, you look nice as it is now, but the sex kitten vibe goes up a notch with your shorter locks, so why not, new year, new hair :)
ReplyDeleteLove your hair when it's short :o !!! Looks so sweet but sexy at the same time !
ReplyDeleteI really like the dress you are wearing at the last picture with short hair btw !
