Picnik

Today I dropped by the Hummingbird Girls and saw their fun Picnik edited photos, and I really wanted to try it out for myself. So since my outfit today fit the whole retro vibe, I went ahead and played around a bit! What do you think? Silly gimmick or cute? Does it offer something extra or should I just keep it realz?




I think it looks ridiculous and cute at the same time! :-D I'm wearing too of my 1 euro treasures today: the sailorcollar top and the polkadot dress. I was skipping about in my bedroom this morning, trying to find something to wear, when I spotted these two hanging over a chair because I hadn't found the time to put them on a hanger yet (read: too lazy), and I suddenly realized these'd look awful cute together, so I just grabbed them and some red tights to play up the nautical vibe, et voila: outfit was born! The umbrella adds to the retro, ladylike vibe, so I used it as a prop. I'm creative like that (errr). I love how the entire look turned out and I'm sure I'll be wearing it more often!

    i love these pictures!! the polka-dots and red tights definitely give a retro feeling and i like the effect you used for the pictures. and the umbrella is such a fun addition!

    I never came OUT of a lanky phase. . .I've been lanky forever. haha.
    no problem. however this outfit is also so amazing. I'd feature this one too if that didn't seem a little odd and stalkerish hahahahahaha.

    I just tried Picnik too (maybe it was my post you read?) and I love all the fun stuff you can do. And it's so easy. I love the effects you did on your picture. It's perfect.
    Your outfit is out of this world perfect. I seriously love everything about it. I wish I had an awesome cute umbrella too. I had this cute clear 60s looking one from Target but I lost it somewhere and now I just have a janky old black one. Oh well, I'll be using it tonight!

    Ooh I do like these picnik photos!! I got a picnik account a while back because I needed to make a collage for my blog header, and it worked out great. It's so easy to use and it's free! Plus they have so many ideas...i haven't even tried yet. Anyway, love the umbrella!

    This is such a cute outfit, i especially adore that sailor top! I love how you tap into the nautical trend without ACTUALLY looking like someone dressing up like a sailor. So subtle yet so effective :)
