I blew up your body, but you blew my mind

Yesterday the temperatures finally dropped enough to allow me to wear sleeves. Which was nice, as after a while you run out of sleeveless things to wear. I made this crop top myself! Well, I made that sound way more awesome than it actually is: I just bought a stripy T and cut off the bottom half. I suddenly realized that I have loads of high waisted things that would look awesome with a crop top, but you can’t find that many crop tops in stores. And the jersey that T-shirts and tanktops are made of doesn’t fray when you cut it without stitching it back up, so easiest DIY ever. Just make sure you cut it a tiny bit longer than where you’d want it to sit, as the ends curl up a bit.

I wore my crop top with this slinky skirt. This is seriously the most comfortable skirt in the world. Very stretchy and soft. But so figure hugging! I didn’t feel comfortable walking outside in this outfit without a jacket. I mean, there’s legs, there’s ass, there’s a bit of midrif. Too much? I think it’s hot, but in a fun way. But I would feel way self conscious wearing this to just go grocery shopping or something. Would you wear this out? Would you change something?
I tried the typical Alexa Chung winged eyeliner look today as I already kind of have her haircut, and I was quite pleased with the result! If you keep the line thin, the look is very subtle but still unique.
shirt (altered), skirt: H&M
shoes: sac d'anvers

Oh, and I added a picture of my newspaper feature! Kind of silly, but cool nonetheless!

and now for the non-fashion bit: there has been a carnival opposite our door for about a week now, and yesterday was the last day, concluded with fireworks in honor of the Belgian national holiday. It was very beautiful!
I love how this one looks like a deep sea creature

But my cat hates fireworks and was terrified to the extent that she peed all over my underwear and bikini drawer. Yep, that’s what pets are for. I just spent an hour handwashing everything and now I have a full rack of wet unmentionables hanging outside. Stupid cat. On a positive note: at least now I realize how many pairs of knickers I actually have!

Oh, and this is what we ate for dinner:

Roasted pine nuts, sliced bacon, cherry tomatoes and grapes, lettuce and goat cheese with a honey vinaigrette. I wasn't entirely happy with the result as it was a bit too sweet, but it still looks yummy!

  5. I love that outfit very much but I can understand if you think it's a little to sexy for daily things. Maybe you could add some flats and that cute hat with the parrots to let it look more casual.
For the club or for some cocktails with your friends I like it with the heels.
