Yellow Submarine

We all live in a yellow submarine <3 GUYS I need a favor. Does anyone of you live near a Primark? If so, could you go and check if they have this gorgeous lemony confection in a size eu36/uk8/small? A bigger size is ok too, I'll just take it in, but I REALLY want it. I'll gladly pay you back and refund the postage!

I've been asking everyone everywhere to go check it out, it's just so terribly beautiful. Let me know!!
My mum and sis came by today and we had a lovely afternoon, talking about life in our backyard and enjoying the sun. I wore my Beatles Yellow Submarine t-shirt and this vintage skirt I picked up for 2 euro a few weeks ago. I just cannot resist a good midi skirt, especially when it's navy plaid. Clogs for  a bit of extra seventies pizaz, and there you have my outfit! Days like these make me wonder how I ever lived without midi skirts. Seriously, midi skirts are to me what skinny jeans are to 99% of the female population: a formerly unknown option that becomes you default modus from the moment you discover it. I don't even know why I love this silhouette so much, I just DO. It feels so fresh and new but still classic and a bit retro. LOVE

Also, the salad I made yesterday was totally nomzworthy.

you need: pasta (I used tricolore farfalle), rocket salad, olives, mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, red pepper (the non spicy variety), spicy sausage (fried in a pan for a tiny while, be sure to use the oilresidu afterwards for the dressing), some pesto and balsamic vinegar. I actually didn't put pesto in this time but the bites that didn't have spicy sausage were a wee bit too bland, so pesto would be a great idea. I put some ciabatta drizzled with garlic oil on the grill to go along with the salad, and we had a mighty nice meal!

  3. love the matching colors: the red in the t-shirt and the skirt looks fabulous together. although the skirt is completely different from the t-shirt, it is a smashing combination. the red shoes are so perfect with that bright t-shirt. love that salad, looks delicious and healthy.

  17. I always love the way you combine items, I'll have to pick up a few graphic tees now to wear with my plaid skirts. It's funny you mentioned the midi length, this is pretty much the length of the majority of my skirts and dresses that I wear!

The pasta looks delicious too, yum. Looks great for a summer picnic.

  25. Aww Annebeth I love this look! This week I went to the Beatles store here in London and wanted to leave with some things, needless to say I bought nothing, it was too expensive :/ maybe I'll go back to get a tshirt some time soon though.

I actually went to Primark on Oxford Street yesterday, but I didn't see that dress there yet.

  27. Love the outfit. I used to have loads of Beatles shirts that I wore all the time but they showed a lot of my belly after a few washes so i gave them to my short friends haha.
I love Rurouni Kenshin too!! I have the entire series on DVD and the movies. <3 My husband's favourite! We bought our DVD sets back in 2004 I think. Been a while since we watched them!
