And now for another installment of What Would Alexa Wear: today's outfit. I spied this outfit a few weeks ago and reblogged it on Tumblr. I came across it again last night when looking for inspiration, so I decided to recreate it in a spring-appropriate way today!
I decided against a scarf because it was too warm outside, but I still quite like how my version turned out! Such an easy look to recreate with your own pieces. Stripes and a tan coat are just a classically beautiful combination that both exudes elegance and a casual effortlessness (stupid word).
I spent my sunday studying for my upcoming exams, watching silly movies with my sweet boyfriend and eating the DELICIOUS pastry my boyfriend brought me this morning, fresh from the bakery!
I'm still eating it actually! The puff pastry base is deliciously crumbly, the cream filling is soft and fluffy, and the fruit is fresh and flavorful: my ideal pastry! I want a HUGE one for my birthday and I'll eat it all by myself. Ok, I'll share some of the blue grapes. They have stones and I hate grapes with stones.
dress, trench: Pimkie
glasses: Claire's
wedges: Sac D'Anvers
tights: H&M
nailpolish (gosh how lovely is this bright blue with the stripes?): Model's Own @ River Island
YAY love this!

Wow! That's quite a pastry! How do you take such good food pics?!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is lovely too, I'm a sucker for anything striped, but the combination with the beige trench and polka-dot tights is superb! Good ol' Alexa, she knows what's up ;)

That cake... it looks like heaven with all that delicious beautiful fruit on it. Actually, we have something really similar in Italy, with the cream under the fruit, the only difference is that the crust on ours is more compacted and crunchy (sort of?) rather than flakey. Mmm- so sweet of your bf!
ReplyDeleteAnd like I said, wedges are "your shoe." Seriously.
Hell yeah! Right down to the hair! Also, the pastry looks delicious, and quite like some of the pastries you can get here in Barcelona.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable, I love the stripes with the spots! And I could totally see Alexa wearing that.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
