RIVER ISLAND STUDENT NIGHT: REVIEW + STEVE MADDEN

I just got home from the River Island event, and I had a blast with my friends! The event seemed to have been a real succes, with people queueing outside, free beer, pumping beats, 20% off and pieces that would speak to every girl's inner magpie. I was a really good girl and just bought three bottles of nail polish in lovely pastel shades (Model's Own), and a dress and some trousers for my sis who couldn't attend. I got her my lovely Peggy Olson dress (I baptized it so, see me wearing it here):

And my gorgeous friend Camille bought my hummingbird dress (among a TRUCKload of other things, see her carrying an inordinate amount of shopping bags here:

We spent a lot of time trying on irresistible footwear.

of course, insanely high heels were very popular. I went for leopard:

Too bad these were too uncomfortable, I am in loooove with them :(

I met up with Kim from Brunette Blogging! We both look horrid in this pic, so it was totally OK to post it online. It is so much worse if one person looks nice and the other looks like shit.

This poor kid's balloon got popped roughly ten minutes ago. As you can see, he still wasn't over it at all. Poor kid :(

MY FRIENDS ARE HAWT. Also, we were chillin' in the shoe corner. Is there a better place to chill?

BY THE WAY: Steve Madden's store opening was also going on tonight, and I didn't get an invite but Kim from Brunette Blogging did, and she sneaked me in to meet Tiany Kiriloff from Belmodo (among other things) and Els Keymeulen from Glam*it! Which was nice (paws up if you get the The Fast Show reference). I also got a gift voucher for a pair of shoes. Yes, you read that right. I am getting a free pair of Steve Madden shoes. SAY WHUT?? I am ridiculously excited and I can't wait to browse the shop to my heart's content. I snapped two quick shots before I had to head back to River Island!

Big, BIG thank you to Kim for ushering me in at the Steve Madden event, Tiany for KNOWING ME (seriously I am SO honored!), Marie from Oona for inviting me and asking me to be their student ambassador and the sweet people at River Island for letting me work with them and for the awesome experience! Looking forward to meeting and working with all of these people again in the future :)
