Guys, I just found my new favorite hairstyle: faux bangs!! I had been experimenting with ponytails since my hair has been getting longer and since I'm a huge fan of everything Peggy Olson does/wears. I love the retro fifties cheerleading wholesome girl vibe a short ponytail gives off, but I didn't like it with all my hair pulled back so I suddenly had this flash of inspiration where I thought HEY I could do this and this and it would look like I have bangs! So I put that shiz together and BAM there you have it, my new hairstyle! I am in love, it makes me look so retro. Also, like Katy Perry. Bitch totally stole my look though, I had that hairstyle back when I was 17. Now I really want a big barreled curling iron to make my ponytail do that flippy thingy.
CUTE RIGHT?
Back to school tomorrow, I actually kinda look forward to seeing my classmates again! Hope the weather stays nice, hanging out is just that much more fun when the sun is a-shining.
I wore this outfit to go to the easter fair just across our street. I hate the stupid rides because I even get hurt in the autoscooters, but I love the junkfood they sell there. Hamburgers with onions and ketchup, hotdogs and these:
Anyone have any idea what these are called in English? We dutchies always eat them on New Year's Eve or at fairs. I loooove em. Fatty, fried doughballs with sugar, OMnomnom.

okay, is there a dress or a skirt in your closet that doesn't fit you, seriously, your dresses look like perfection. they are made for your body. this one is again, perfect. love the little dots and the blue color. the belt is simple divine, just perfect. love to see that hair style on you, you know the curly thing. but make sure you don't look like a bombshell ;;;;DDD. but then i think you need some tattoos first. love it as always
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking how retro you looked before I read your text- go Peggy Olsen inspiration! Also, you find such great dresses in H n M! ;) x
ReplyDeletedeze jurk is echt perfect!
ReplyDeletelove love love the dress!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the red lips and your faux bangs, you should consider getting your bangs cut like this, it's such a fun look for you.
ReplyDeleteThe mini doughnuts look AMAZING, not sure what you call them in English either-- at Chinese restaurants in the U.S. they have similar fried dough but they tend to be a bit bigger.
Great hair! Great dress! Great glasses... and freakin' perfect doughnuts. Plus, it looks like your Easter weather was way better than ours. Officially jealous!
ReplyDeleteThey are called doughnut holes! And you look so cute. I recognize the belt... I like mixing up belts from other tops and dresses! faux bangs is the way to go! super cute and good for summer when you don't want real bangs stickin to your forehead on the hot days!
ReplyDeleteI love your dress it is so so cute. I have heard those things called Beignets but I think that is french.
ReplyDeleteThe polka dot dress looks so cool with that floral ribbon belt. I love how you made the faux bangs too...cute! Those dough balls remind me of these treats that I've had in Solvang, California, but they're Danish in origin: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%86bleskiver. They're served with powdered sugar and jam.
ReplyDeletepretty sure theyre just doughnuts but without the hole?
ReplyDeleteand honey, i am do in love with this dress of yours. gosh i want it. the hair looks adorable too you should definitely wear it like this a lot now :) xo
When I was living in Holland I ate about a thousand olibollen, so I think I can safely say that we would call them doughnut holes in English. Doughnut holes are not nearly as delicious, though. Deze kijken zo lekker!
ReplyDeleteLove the hair and those fab glasses, and just EVERYTHING!

ReplyDeletemmmm...Doughnut holes are what they're called back in the states. If they were more rectangular I'd think they were beignets. Either way I want to stuff my face with them. So have you heard of funnel cake? Basically the same thing only it looks like this:)
