DD


Something about double denim is so utterly irresistible. Very fashion in that "what the hell was she thinking" way, but still effortless and casual. I like that combination. I like this outfit too, but I feel like this look isn't entirely "me" anymore. I don't know why. I think it's the cardigan, it just doesn't blend in with my style, or at least not this combination. I could see this working for me with a toggle coat or a fisherman knit. Oh well, sometimes you have outfits that you feel perfect in, sometimes you have outfits that you LIKE but don't LOVE, and sometimes you have total and utter failures. The older I get, the more focused my image of what is "me" and what isn't. I find that comforting. Even if that means I complicate things for myself. 

Whenever I don't know what to wear I just ask myself "what would Alexa wear". I'm such a fangirl :(

    Ooooh, I love it! I love double denim, but I'm always too scared to try it. You look fabulous. I especially love the cardigan and the headband-- they keep it from being too overwhelmingly denim.

    Love the double denim! It's actually really funny that you posted this today because this morning I was going to wear a denim shirt & shorts but my top wasn't cooperating. Got to love those days!

    lolo fan girl. i love that you're so focused, it inspires me to get my act together and stop buying stuff that just doesnt mesh with anything. oh and, im a bad friend cos ive not yet sent you that recipe, i just remembered so ill open an email and start typing now ;)

    I know what you mean about double-denim. It was such a no-no and is now such a trend that I can't help but love it. Also, blogging has helped me realize what I really enjoy and what it just an impulse buy... in terms of clothing. That cardigan is amazing! And you look adorable, as always. That floral headband is the perfect girly touch.

    you are right, you look completely different. I am a big fan of jeans too and i love the fact that you took it over the top. I'm not a big fan of jeans shorts, but that is just me. i love the blouse, i am looking for the perfect jeans blouse, and you have found it. i love the cardigan, I just cannot resist the black and white colors. and the boots look smashing. I totally get what you mean by: what would my style icon wear... I do that toooooo.

    Yep I also think it's the white cardigan in this case, which isn't really you. But hey!? You still look awesome! ;) I'm just listening to the black swan soundtrack in amazon, thinking about buying it ^^ have you already?

    The canadian tuxedo!! Yess, sometimes trends seem so wrong, but so right at the same time. I love this sweater, it would look cool with the other one too though.
    Im definitely trying not to buy things that aren't "me" and that I won't wear because I'm not comfortable in them.
