Une hirondelle ne fait pas le printemps

Translation: one swallow doesn’t make it spring. Which kind of means that one positive sign doesn’t mean that something is actually real/happening. But I’m disregarding the figurative meaning and going for the literal one: I WANT SPRING so I wear LOTS OF SWALLOWS. Does that make it spring yet?

I guess not. Sigh. I guess a flower headband and open shoes kind of make it feel like spring though.
Are you guys sick of me nagging about the weather yet? It really is horrendous. And if I wouldn’t be going on about the weather, I’d be stressing out over the exams. I SO do not have a good feeling about them :( It usually works out ok, but I still can’t help but worry.
Let’s focus on things that DO cheer me up:
- miu miu dresses that aren’t actually miu miu and hence very cheapies
- flower headbands that don’t go all the way around my head because real headbands like that make my hair look like a mushroom
- cloglike shoes that aren’t actually clogs because those are a bit too clunky and hard to walk in for me
I seem to get happy from things that aren’t really what they seem. So why doesn’t this spring that seems winter do anything for me? :(
