It was my sister's 19th birthday yesterday, and my mom and her came over for festivities, dining out and last but not least: to decorate my ENORMOUS Christmas tree together! I think we haven't decorated a Christmas tree together since I was about fifteen, so it was a great way to make up for lost time. We all share a love for color, lights and shiny, shiny things so about 99% of our afternoon was spent going "oooooh" and "aaah" and last but not least "ermahgerd".
I always love seeing lots and lots of pictures of other people's Christmas decorations, so don't mind me while I shower you with holiday spirit!
De-tangling the lights, a yearly tradition!
These adorable little colorful bells (bought at Albert Heijn!) actually jingle. Too.Cute.
Awesomely ridiculous ornament I got as a gift. THANKS Elien and Paulien! My firends all know I have a SLIGHT obsession with quirky (to put it mildly) Christmas ornaments, so I've gotten a lot of amazing pieces over the years. Each year my tree gets MORE epic, and almost all of my ornaments tell a story.
Awesome bird ornament also makes an awesome hairpiece.
This bright red little felt sled KILLS me with cute.
DOES THIS NOT SLEIGH YOU? (lolzzzzzz)
A touch of absolawesome Wicker Man (the Nicolas Cage version, of course) in your tree: can't go wrong
If that sled with the tiny Santa didn't slay you, this little smirking angel sure will. I think this one dates back to the 70s, used to be my mother-in-law's.
The boy helping me getting our silly own tree-topper up there (I have a fear of heights, even when I'm standing on a chair)
OPULENCE AT ITS BEST! I was never one for classy minimalism I guess.
Furry hats + Christmas lights + sisters = great photo op. This is one for the photo albums!
Have you decorated your tree and if so, what does yours look like? Or are you skipping on a Christmas tree altogether? Do you love Christmas as much as I do?
