Oh hi. I bought this dress for 2 euro in the monthly Think Twice sales when it was still an ankle length dowdiness-fest and I hemmed it to mini length and now it is divine.
dress: Think Twice vintage, altered
blazer, coat, faux fur collar, tights: H&M
shoes: Kimchi & Blue
ring: Alex Monroe
nailpolish: Catrice
A thoroughly sixties outfit today, centered around the very two things I am obsessed with right now, stylewise at least: velvet and faux fur. Luxurious, soft, rich fabrics I want to coat my LIFE with <3 Also, this blazer is one of the oldest things I still wear to this day. I think I bought it when I was 15, almost ten years ago, WHOA nelly! It has this awesome laced detail at the back but of course I forgot to take pictures of it. Use your imagination! Or not, whatevs.
I'm going to watch some Sherlock now, enjoy your weekend!

ReplyDeleteThat dress is PERFECTION! Velvet and one of my favorite colors! And I love that blazer, its so fun when you have pieces for that long...so many memories connected to it :D

ReplyDeleteHi! I'm so curious, I know. But what are your wearing underneath the dress? Or is it part of the dress? Is it something like a petticoat? Or just a ballerinalike skirt? Enough with the questions. Nice outfit! x
ReplyDeleteMary Janes? Petticoats? Fur trims? Three of my favourite fashion items! All beautiful.

Ha, my friend and my sister both used to have that blazer in different colours (in fact, like you, still do have it). Totally loving the vibe of this outfit, LOVE the cheeky underskirt thingy, and also the white tights (very Yours Truly, haha). : )
ReplyDeleteah yes I love yours truly! BUT I got into wearing pale tights last winter so not ALL the credit goes to her! :D
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely beautiful! Was this fabric difficult to hem?
ReplyDeleteReally though, I love everything about this look; it is the perfect winter/Christmas dress. :)

What a sweet velvet dress! I've seen a couple of maxi-velvets at my local thrift store (who wants that?!), and I didn't even think to shorten them!
