Exciting things have been happening in my life recently. Apart from the fact that I feel super swell about my dissertation, am sort of stress-less for the first time in months due to NOT postponing things for ages (srsly great tip if you don't want to spazz out just before a deadline! EUREKA) and Christmas is just around the corner, another cool thing came my way.
The super nice professor of my favorite course this semester contacted me because I had impressed him with my knowledge during class-debates (yes I am a total nerd). He told me he wanted to be my mentor and guide me towards getting a scholarship to pursue a doctors degree and become a real scientist and shiz! I'm super duper excited about this. I don't know why, but I never seriously contemplated it before but now this option has come to my attention as a real possibility, I suddenly feel like this is the way I need to go, my destination in life.
Excuse me while I keep rambling on about this, but how awesome would it be to be paid to do the thing I enjoy most: acquiring knowledge? It sounds like a dream. Too good to be true? I don't know, I just know I'm thankful.

ReplyDeleteStill obsessed with that cardigan, haha. And wooo, that is so exciting!, :)

ReplyDeleteEen geblokte sjaal! Ah die wil ik ook hebben!
ReplyDeleteGefeliciteerd met de aanbieding van je prof :)
This outfit screams 'Christmas' and I love it! Leuk nieuws ook!
ReplyDeleteWauw, proficiat!
ReplyDeleteWow, that IS awesome news! At once, this happened to me as well, but I was just at first year of university and I had so many exams in front of me... That I let the train pass away, and never kept it, it was too late, at the end. If you think it's what you really want to do, it's your time, just do it! Studying and acquiring knowledge is the best thing :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck!!!
!!! That's awesome news! You must have really impressed him. Of course, no surprise, you brainiac you. Nothing is out of reach if you're willing to work for it! And it seems you have an awesome person willing to show you the ropes to get there, which is a wicked situation. You can totally get wherever you want to with your career :D I can see it! And, you would be ze most stylish scientist evah.
ReplyDeleteFirstly - yay, you're whipping out the cardi! I bloody love it, especially with the rest of the prints going on.
