Right now I'm sitting on the couch with a tv blanket over my legs (yes I am secretly 70 years old - and loving it!) wearing tights and a jumper, but just a week ago we were experiencing a gorgeous indian summer. From 25°c to 13°c in less then a week is slightly insane but I am strangely enjoying it. From summer to fall in the blink of an eye is exciting!
Anyway, on this last amazing sunny Sunday of the year, my boyfriend and I went to visit my dad in the hospital in Ghent with pastry (I brought him a strawberry-rice pie he enjoyed to the fullest). Afterwards we wanted to enjoy the beautiful evening so we took a stroll through the streets of Ghent, just off the Coupure. I felt like I was on holiday in my own country.
My boyfriend and I matched again!
The place we took these pictures was a former religious building that used to function as a psychiatric hospital, but it had been converted to a concert hall. Very beautiful.
It doesn't happen often that the leaves are already changing color and dropping from the branches when you are still in sandals and bare legs. This has to be the most beautiful autumn I have ever experienced.
Ah, the water flowing through the city, so beautiful even though the water is polluted and shiz. Oh wait, I probably shouldn't have mentioned that, right? Let me distract you with my cool ombre pink nails!
Ah I love it when my boyfriend and me are all matchy matchy! He so stylish <3

ReplyDeleteWe're experiencing a similar summer here in Chicago-- I've been running around in sandals and cotton dresses while the leaves are changing! I went apple picking today and it was so warm it felt like summer. I love the setting of these photos, the building has a lot of old world charm. It's always fun to catch glimpses of your man and his outfits too. :)

I love the back of your dress! I've been looking for the perfect slit back dress, and I think I found it haha. Probably a little late now, as it's getting very cold where I live, but maybe next year :D. Anyway, love your outfit, and these pictures are gorgeous!

Awww it's so cute that you and your boyfriend match! I love this dress, it's really pretty and the back of it is fantastic. We've been enjoying a really lovely fall as well (heres hoping that this is what winter has coming?). I love it with the hat!
