Suits you sir

I had been looking for dark red tights for a while and finally settled on these ones from Pimkie. I would’ve liked them to be even darker but hey, whaddayagonna do abadit, right? I can’t wait to wear them around christmas for… christmassy activities. I’ll go for a white dress, red tights and a green cardi, or white tights, green dress and my red jacket… I really love dressing for occasions, can you tell? I guess it’s because most of the year, we only have our own inspiration to rely upon when we are uhm-ing and ah-ing in front of our closet, and fall’s chilly weather makes it even more annoying to walk around in your skivvies for longer than is absolutely necessary, so having an occasion to focus my thoughts and sartorial choices is like a gift from God.

I really take fashion too seriously, don’t I?

On the outfit: this is my second headband from little honey pies and I can’t stress enough how much I love her work. I had to buy three because I’m just a sucker for a good romantic outfit with hippie flowers in my hair, and a girl needs some variation. The purple flowers are perfect for fall and winter, right? Hope you like my look!

  1. Those tights are perfect - the ideal shade of red. I need to do a big winter tight shop soon, dark red tights are certainly on the list!

  3. Lovely tights. I only have a dark purple/red in between one...I really like it to dress up for special events..we always have a little x-mas celebration in my history institute every year and we always dressed in x-massy clothes with reindeer ears and stuff. Last year I had x-mas tree earrings. ^^

  5. BLACK AND RED AND TAN! SO GOOD! I will be borrowing your genius colour combination. If one shouldn't take life so seriously, why take fashion seriously?

Have fun with life, have fun with dressing up!

  10. The headband makes you look like a little fairy princess in the best way!

I think the color of those tights is really nice... maybe harder to style than a deeper red, but they're not crazy-bright, either.

I love holiday dressing, too... I think just because it allows me to be a little tacky without being tacky.
