Ooh Barracuda

I love dressing a bit grunge, especially when the weather allows us to grab some layers. It was cold, so I grabbed this fur lined hoodie I had laying around and had been dying to wear. I love the cable knit details (you can’t really tell in these pictures, but trust me, it’s there), the faux fur lined hood, and how warm and cozy it is without being TOO bulky. I wanted to layer it with my leather jacket over a dress to avoid the hoodie+jeans combo and to get something slightly Alexander Wang-ish, and I’m quite pleased with the results. And this outfit is ridiculously comfy and warm, so it’s just a win-win situation really.

I’m also wearing this sick silver nailpolish from Catrice (yeah, they should be sponsoring me, I buy all their stuff because it is AWESOME) and it makes me feel super rad. I love how the color is actually quite subtle, but when you look at it it is really a remarkable color. I’m usually not at all into sparkly or metallic shades for make up or clothes, but I make an exception for nailpolish that makes your nails look like they are ACTUALLY silver. It’s “be my millionaire” by Catrice by the way, if you’re interested. Cheap and awesome equals love.

I’m eyeing this fairisle knit cardi on the New Look site but it gets sold out every time before I get to place my order. I really want it for those colder fall and winter days because it SCREAMS holiday fun to me. And I really want it in red because the other colors aren’t nearly as good. Sigh.

I’m going to leave you guys now, because I need to get busy on some schoolwork: one of the girls in my group needs to rework her part of our paper and she doesn’t know shit and now I need to do both her work and mine but I’m a perfectionist so there is no other option. Don’t you just hate groupworks?

boots, tights, jacket, cardi: Pimkie
nailpolish: Catrice

Bye!

On a happier note, the grunge look is amazing on you! (And I love that you were inspired by Alexander Wang.)

  10. I was just talking to my boyfriend about how much I HATE group work. It's so annoying. I just want to do everything my way to my standards without concern for others...

That nail polish is great, and I love how you've been rocking the polished-grunge look :) You really pull it off.
