Lovely Thing

Does anyone else have that silly writer’s block feeling when they are searching their mind for a title? I should’ve just done numbers from the very beginning instead of words. Numbers are easy and logical.

I’m sorry my picture is so green, but the lighting is effed up around these parts. It really is winter now, cold and dark and sad. I brightened up my day by wearing my fave dress ev0o0or. I still hadn’t worn it in a more casual, fashion forward way, so yesterday was the day. I had my mind set on lace up boots, FLATS to brave my typical way of wearing longer hemlines with heels, and at first I had a short leather jacket on with this, but it didn’t work as well as it did in my head and I switched the leather jacket for this mid length coat. I love how the outfit is a bit retro and a bit modern. I could see a model or the Olsen twins wearing this. It also feels a bit great depression era, no? Anyway, I love it. Makes me feel all alternative in a grown up way, like some nutty art teacher. I love my art teachers nutty. As a matter of fact, I love ALL my teachers nutty.

My good mood is really a surprising actually, because the odds are against me being in a good mood:

- I had to get up early and it was very cold everywhere outside of our bed

- we had huge traffic problems to even get to Antwerp, resulting in me being way late for class

- class had been moved to a half hour earlier, and it was cut short, so when I finally arrived at the building, my classmates were coming out.

I should be pissed off, right? I’m chronically happy.

  2. I always have problems with titles, and when I do I just go with what I'm wearing. Easy peasy.

I love the combinations you put together!

  3. I'm always stuck on blog post titles, sometimes I just use a line from a song in my head but I'm trying to be a little more creative.

Gorgeous outfit, I love the black lace up boots with the pretty floral dress.

  4. Great outfit...I think it's the dress that makes you happy...it would do it when I could wear it. The weather here is still terrible..rain rain..nothing but rain..all grey in grey..suizid weather my friend would say.
I choose my blog titles spontanious. Sometimes I hear a song at the moment I started posting, sometimes I choose my feelings or a shorter description of my day..

  5. Written titles are so much more personal though! When in doubt, I always tune in to internet radio and just pick a random phrase.

I love the boots and the military-inspired sweater.

  8. That sounds so annoying... I definitely would have cried. Glad to hear you took it better.

I really love the boots with this dress. I know I keep going on about you and 90s revival, but you are so spot-on with it and it looks so freaking good on you. I wish I were taller so I could pull off long skirts!
