The Big Pink

Another week has gone by at my summer’s job! It really isn’t as bad as I make it sound though. I have lots of fun with my colleagues, get to spend my day fondling clothes and talking to customers and I get to look the way I want every day. I once had a job at Zara and we had to dress in uniforms. That was quite depressing if you ask me. It sucks the “you” out of you, and my personality seemed to be sucked out as well. So being able to dress my (sometimes kooky) way is delightful.

dress: pimkie
cardi: h&m
shoes: sac d'anvers

The dress I’m wearing is from the store I work at, Pimkie. I love how simple it is, but how the vibrant color and bow add interest to the sweet, retro sundress shape. The seafoam cardi stood out to me as a clashing color, and I hate to go all matchy matchy so clashing it was!

I’m really excited about the opening at Chictopia for new uglies contributors! I totally want to be a contributor. I love writing, and writing about fashion is exactly what I want to do with my life. Wish me luck, and good luck to you if you’re trying out! I plan on writing a post on transitional dressing to apply for the contributor position.

  1. You look beautiful in that vibrant pink! I would never think to pair a seafoam cardi with the dress, but it looks fantastic!

And good luck applying for the contributor position. :)

  2. Fab colour combo and a very cute dress. I was wondering where you were working but suspected Pimkie :D

I used to be in retail years ago and remember those feet and back aches oh so well. I gave up on heels in the end for work (sadly) :D

Good luck on the chictopia thing, you write very well Annebeth, you will rock at this!!! (dont forget about the accessories and they play onto a transition too) :D
