This post goes to show that even the ugliest of backgrounds can totally work for an outfitshoot, as long as

• the lighting is good
• the background goes with your outfit and posing
• you have equipment to shoot with shallow depth of field

I would never shoot here normally, but with this outfit it totally emphasized the skater/LA grunge glam sort of inspiration I pulled from when putting together this outfit. Does anyone remember Kirstin Reiter's BleachBlack (now defunct) blog? Yeah, that sort of vibe.

The top is sort of washed out by the high contrast I used in post production, but it's basically made of this pale silvery thread which makes it quite the subtle stand out piece. I picked it up in the mid season sales at Pimkie for just 12€ and subsequently spotted its twin at COS for like 4 times that price. Score! Pimkie has been doing so well lately, I'm really proud of my old workplace. I worked at the store for a year to save up for University, so the brand and I have history. Glad to see both of us doing so well! :-D
