Cloud Cuckoolander

Hey guys! I want to start of by thanking all of you for the tips and feedback on my blog and whether I should change things up. I'm going to keep things as they are for now, because I don't want to stop doing the daily outfit posts and I'm not ready to do multiple posts a day. I spend enough time on reading blogs or blogging as it is! I particularly enjoyed my ubercool readers telling me they look forward to reading my posts everyday. Sometimes when you're blogging you can feel like you're just being a total dork, talking to yourself and taking pictures of yourself. When awesome people tell you they love your pictures and writing it definitely feels absolutely amazing. So I just wanted to thank you guys for being the best readers in the entire world.

I did an outfit similar to this one a few weeks ago but I changed my orange sweater for an orange oversized cardigan, and I changed the sheer stockings for my textured grey tights (that I really wear all too often). My pictures are really crappy today, no idea why, maybe it's just that crappy winter lighting. But if the quality of my pics keeps deteriorating, I might look into getting a better camera.
ANYWAY, I've been cramming for the upcoming exams. I only have 3 exams, but I've been procrastinating all semester so it's come down to little under 3 weeks before the exams are here, and I still have to print out slides etc and haven't done diddly squat. So I'm almost getting to that point where I might stress out a bit.

Being 23 doesn't mean you become an adult all of a sudden. I'm still lazy as hell. My boyfriend and I actually joke around things like it's a miracle our house looks sort of OK considering how lazy both of us are.
We really are.

One of my courses this semester is about all kinds of different religions and I'm totally inspired. I'm not incredibly religious, but I'm interested in the ways different cultures find meaning in the mysteries of life. When my friend stayed over a few days ago, we ended up talking about our moms being way into all kinds of new age spiritual things and I asked myself "do women ALL get that spiritual longing at a certain age?". Maybe it's just something women of a certain generation experience. Almost all my friends' moms have those same interests. Uni has totally opened my eyes to the fact that we're all being formed by the day and age we live in, and how much we have in common with people from the same generation. Culture, people, the media, history, social evolutions: all so very interesting.

dress, cardi, tights, socks: H&M
boots: ASOS
scarf: Pimkie

this black dress has turned out to be one of my very favorite pieces, it's so much more versatile than I expected!

  1. Haha, moving back home has definitely helped me feel like more like a dork... my family is wondering why I am taking pictures of myself! Before it was just my boyfriend and I in our own little world with him taking pictures of me! It definitely takes some getting used to but you are so right, the comments from readers definitely make it pay off!

  12. Hey, so, i didn't read blogs yesterday, and therefore I didn't see your post. I just wanted to tell you that your blog is one of my favorites because all you ever do is outfit posts. I like when people do features about art or their lives, but I can't help but wish people just posted outfits when they post inspiration, moodboards, wishlists, whatever. I dunno.

Anyway I love orange on you! It looks great with the polka dots, too, and those shoes are perfect with the look :)

  14. Great cardi..I think orange is the new red next season..isn't it?!
I also have thought which contains something like "You have to dress like an adult, more formal!" etc. But then I thought of the fact that being young means to change looks and trying out new things. Because when you are a total adult in a fix job..you couldn't do that anymore.
I installed a new translation function on my blog..hope it works yet..thanks for telling me it wasn't ^^
