Texas Tuxedo

 jeggings, boots: pimkie
belt: vintage
shirt: zara

Me in pants again! Double denim at that. I’m actually really loving this trend, somewhere between the FAR too casual truck driver approach and the fierce chicness of a jumpsuit. These jeggings ARE in fact the best thing since sliced cheese. I know I say that a lot, but I really mean it. These are CRAZY comfortable, CRAZY flattering and CRAZY chic. I’m not wearing skinny jeans EVER again, Ima stick with ma jeggings.

Did you guys see the VMA’s? I love love LOVED Gaga’s McQueen dress. It was the most stunning thing I’d ever seen. I actually think she kept it quite safe compared to last year. I mean, even the meat dress was sort of.. pretty? I loved how emotional she got.

Also, I am a fan of Kanye, even after all the douchebaggery, but he seriously should’ve just lipsynched. The boy cannot sing.

Annnnd I’ve got my eye on this gorgeous velvet maxi skirt at New Look and I can’t wait to go to the shop to see if they have it. I never really bought into the whole urban/grungy maxi trend but I’m finally coming around. I’m so lame.
These will probably be floor length, but I'll just cut a bit off. I want a mid calf length. I imagine them being all kinds of cuddly and warm when winter hits town!

  3. I'm sort of on the fence on the whole PETA thing. On one hand, we should not see meat as a "thing" as it DID come from living creatures. On the other hand: humans are omnivores and we have always eaten meat. I don't think everybody should become vegetarians, but I do think that we should be conscious of the fact that the meat we see on our plate DID come from living creatures, be thankful for the energy they give us, be a gracious part of the circle of life. And we should all eat less meat, it is bad for our bodies and for the environment. One vegetarian day a week isn't that hard to do.

Gaga wanted to say something with her meat dress (that she's not a piece of meat) and she nailed the shock factor because she made us realize once again that meat isn't just something like cheese or potatoes. It's bloody and it comes from living creatures.
