Let's review some luxury beauty products today, shall we? Givenchy's summer collection drops next month, so I figured I'd give you all a preview of some of the products: the Mister Radiant primer, the Bonne Mine bronzing powder and the Kohl Couture Waterproof retractable eyeliner.
The Givenchy Mister Radiant primer looks so pretty, with its peachy-tan and white pearls floating in the gel formula. I was eager to try it out because it looked so fancy, but I'm afraid the product was a pretty serious letdown. The pearls require serious rubbing and pressure to "burst", making this product almost feel like a scrub rather than a primer, and there is too much gel and too little pearls to get the pigment to be noticeable anyway. The Mister Radiant primer is a hard pass for me, sadly.
The Kohl Couture waterproof eyeliner is a different story, thank god. The eyeliner is crazy creamy, incredibly pigmented (and a gorgeous colour at that) and once the product sets, it won't budge until you pull out your waterproof eyemakeup remover. This is a great product for those days when you're not feeling the minimalist, natural look, but you still want to be sure your makeup won't melt off your face when doing some beach/tanning/pooltime. The aqua shade will look stunning against dewy, sunkissed skin and messy hair. Thumbs up!
Finally, there is the Bonne Mine powder, which comes in four shades that range from pale enough to use as a highlighter, to proper bronzing compacts. This one is the lightest, named 01 premiere saison, which has yellow-peachy undertones, and it is almost too light to use as a bronzer for me. That makes it a very subtle bronzer for the palest people, or a nice peachy blush/highlighter for those with medium skintone or up. The star pattern in the pressed powder is lovely, but the powder almost feels too pressed - you have to swirl the brush around in the pan a bit to get a good amount of product on there, but the powder is super finely milled and has this soft, golden glow to it. This is what it looks like on my face:
also wearing Revlon Colorstay foundation in Ivory mixed with Urban Decay One & Done in Medium Light; Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Ash Brown, Urban Decay's XX Vice LTD Reloaded palette shades in Mildew and Acid Rain, Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama mascara, Rimmel x Kate Moss in 08, Urban Decay blush in Hush from the Gwen Stefani blush palette, and the Essence Soo Glow cream to powder highlighter.
It definitely lends a soft golden glow to my face. The Bonne Mine powder does tend to apply a bit streaky, however, so make sure to blend carefully.
