As much as I am known for wearing lots of dresses and skirts (seriously, people always tell me I wear so many dresses and skirts), I wouldn't know how to survive without my favourite pairs of denim. Usually I reach for skinnies, because they are so easy to style, but you really can't beat the comfort of some relaxed fit boyfriend jeans. Since my hips are narrow and my legs are skinny, boyfriend jeans often make my frame too boxy.
The new, slimmer "girlfriend" jeans (totally ridiculous name if you ask me) fits me more like boyfriend jeans are supposed to fit: closer to the leg, which is a lot more flattering of my shape. I picked these up in the Zara sales and I'm really happy I did. Their cropped length works so well with all my favourite pairs of ankle boots, but it also looks really cute with socks-in-brogues, or even a pair of heels. I usually cuff my denim anyway, because I like that slightly retro cigarette pant look, but there's no need for that with these babies. They've proven to be probably my best buy of the past months, as I keep reaching for them whenever I don't want to think about my outfit.
Also, say hi to the return of the cleavage! I think I rock a proper V-neck about five times a year, most of the time I'm super covered up on top. But this shirt spoke to me when I spotted it in the very last Zara sales piles (just 9€!), and I love its rich burgundy colour and feminine fit. Perfect accompaniment to these boyfriend jeans.
