I feel like my outfits have really been on a roll lately. I mean, not to toot my own horn, but I know when I'm in a style-funk (they can't all be winners), and I know when I'm digging the outfits and pictures I'm putting out. This dress is SUCH a recommendation. I got like five compliments when I wore it to work, and at $19.99, it's a total steal. Btw, for U.S. and Belgian shoppers: Shein has warehouses in L.A. and in Belgium, which means that if you want to return an item, you won't have to ship it all the way to China.
The dress is a bit on the short side (I'm 1m69 in case you're wondering), especially if you lift your arms, but it pairs really well with a little lace slip dress underneath as I did here. I like it even better with a slip peeking out underneath than on its own, so the shortness is kind of a blessing in disguise. Being on the shorter side, I imagine it looking really good worn as a tunic top over a pair of flared jeans as well. Must try! It also fits pretty true to size, but I sized up because I knew it would be too short if I didn't.
I know I keep repeating myself, but I think that everyone needs at least one slip dress. SO practical to fix sheerness issues or to keep your dress from clinging to your tights because of static electricity (killer of flowiness). Mine was a gift by Lidl, and I'm all for depending on budget-friendly stores for slip dresses because they don't necessarily need to be gorgeous, they just need to be practical as you won't really see them anyway. And this one is actually quite cute, albeit a bit oversized, so definitely size down if you want it to be more formfitting.
