Grungy Maxi with a Beanie

dress: H&M (swapped with Kim P.) - boots: c/o Lucky Vintage Seattle - jacket: Zara - beanie: Ebay - bracelets: Etsy - necklace: c/o Diamanti Per Tutti

After all of the Halloween madness, it was time for a normal outfitpost. I was freezing my BUTT off in this outfit, which doesn't seem too surprising considering the dress is basically a beach coverup and I was only wearing nylons and a thin leather jacket with it, but still. It was the first day after our weird fall heatwave that had me walking around in sandals and bare legs again, so this cold really caught me off guard.

I was inspired by this gorgeous picture of some long haired beauty walking away from the camera wearing a beanie, a short jacket, a flowing long dress and chelsea boots when I put this outfit together, but sadly I can't find the picture right now. You might know it, it has done the rounds online. It's been around the block, so to speak. MHM
Anyway, this outfit just goes to show that you can totally wear your summer dresses and beach coverups in a multitude of ways, from summer goddess to beach bum. Just pick your prints and colors wisely: pastels won't work year round, while rich colors totally will.

I'll leave you with a last bit of Halloween: the boy and me in the costumes we wore during a Halloween Haunted Walk last night which was ultra lame. But taking a walk in the woods with a full moon in the sky was still a unique experience.

I was a kittycat and my boyfriend was supposed to be a ghoul, but he ended up looking a lot like Phil Dunphy. He loves Phil on Modern Family, but him and me are more like the gay couple. He's Mitchell, I'm Cam. Seriously. Just look up their personalities and you'll get the picture.

  1. Prachtige outfit maar wel erg frisjes als je nu naar buiten gaat. BAH wat een koude. Super snoezige poezen make-up en Fil's Phil is echt uncanny :-D

I'm loving the 90's grunge look, too! As always! =)

  4. The print on your dress is so fun! I love the leather jacket paired with it too. Too bad it wasn't warm enough for the cold day!
Both of your Halloween Haunted Walk costumes turned out cute too!
