Ah, this abandoned old building is such a perfect photo backdrop. Especially when the autumn sun hits it just right, when the afternoon eases into evening. I love how these pictures turned out, not just that beautiful lighting and that derelicte-chic backdrop, but also the outfit. I picked up this perfect deadstock suede skirt while thrifting a few weeks ago, and back then it was midi length. Great for the likes of Kim Kardashian, but I prefer shorter hemlines for fall and winter, so I hemmed that biatch and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This is definitely one of those thrifting treasures that make all of the sorting through mustard coloured polyester worth it. It fits me like a glove, I love the buttery soft suede material, and that tan shade is just perfect. I just know I'll wear this to death, and then some! And I only paid 6€ for it. Score.
I paired it casually with some simple basics, like this burgundy tee and my rugged parka, and finished it all of with a little whimsy in the form of leopard print slip ons. Definitely one of my favourite outfits of the past months.
Btw, check out that pretty manicure. I loooove my new H&M Beauty flakies top coat!
Oh, and I made a new friend after we shot these pics. A cute little pup who flopped down belly-up to demand rubs. He lived a few houses down.
