Gay Pride Parade

Yesterday, my guy and me took the drive up to Amsterdam to visit my baby nephew Daniel. My sister in law reminded me of the fact that our visit would coincide with the Amsterdam Gay Pride Parade, and I was over the moon! We are huge supporters of equal rights and I'm annoyingly politically correct most of the time, so we were psyched to be part of the celebration. I dug out my pinkest, prettiest Gaga t-shirt, cut it into a tank top and revelled in the spirit of positivity, affirmation and acceptance.

T-top: Lady Gaga Monster Ball - friendship bracelets: Village Gallery Design - leggings, sandals: H&M - watch: c/o Swatch - sunglasses: ASOS

Best day ever.
And everyone who says they don't mind gay people as long as they act like "normal people" without "drawing so much attention to themselves with all their parades": you are an ignorant homophobe, and you wouldn't consider their personality "out there" if you weren't so heteronormative. We are all different, and your choices of living aren't superior to those of others. Also, your beliefs that "gay is wrong" do not merit respect because they are moronic and they mess up other people's lives.

  8. I've been to them in Vancouver and Madrid, both ridiculously fun (but Madrid wins by a hair for selling mojitos in buckets). I bet Amsterdam would be awesome!

  13. I would love to experience a parade like this someday.
Equal rights for all, biatches! I've had many fights with people around me, some of them even saying that if their son was gay, they would take him to a prostitute and leave him there until he is straight again. It's just disgusting and it saddens me so much, I can't even describe it.
    My favorite quote is:

Homosexuality is found in over 450 species. Homophobia is found in only one. Which one seems unnatural now?

  14. ik ben gek op rants en meningen. MOAR OPINIONS PLEASE. En ja, mensen zijn vaak zo ontzettend onwetend. Ze beseffen gewoon niet hoe homofoob ze zijn.
