So here’s my alternative version of the velvet skirt! Do you guys prefer it this length? It does sort of make it look younger and more wearable, no? You can see the long version here.
Tell me what you think! Should I shorten it or keep it at its original length?
The outfit is nothing special, just something comfortable with one statement piece. I sort of loved how nineties it felt, and the velvet skirt is just scrumptious. When I came home yesterday, I found my New Look package at my doorstep. I mean, I’m glad my package arrived, but seriously, when no one’s home, shouldn’t the delivery guy take the package with him to the nearest post office (like they did last time)? Someone could’ve stolen my goodies! I really am sort of pissed off and very glad no one took the package with him. I know I wouldn’t just take someone’s package with me, but still, people these days…
Like I told you guys yesterday, I went shopping with my friend and she bought loads of gorgeous skirts, a green velvety dress and one tacky but awesome purple shiny sweater, all that for 5 euro! And I scored vintage levis to turn into shorts for just 1 euro!! You can buy those altered levis shorts at Urban Outfitters etc for like 30 smackers, so 1 euro is friggin awesome! At first I wasn’t sure about buying it because the pockets were in a weird place, but when I got home and just cut off the legs, the entire thing fit like a dream and I’m so stoked about my find!
We also went make up shopping (she’s a total beauty junkie) and our favorite shop had sales of buying the second article at 50% off, so I went ahead and bought two bottles of catrice nailpolish (one greyish brown, one deep winered) and two lipsticks (one dark brown, to satisfy my goth lip need, one light pink to satisfy my Mad Men lip need). I can’t wait to try everything on/out!
I’m going to hop in the shower now. Let me know what you think about the skirt!

I always enjoy shopping with Annebeth. She's my true and only reference when it comes to fashion :D Thanks for the great day, and the great finds, wouldn't have found all those gorgeous skirts without you!
ReplyDeleteI kind of like how this outfit looks, I would never imagine pairing a velvet long black skirt with a long grey tshirt, but somehow it really works! I only miss some blinkers...
ouhhh very cute..
ReplyDeletesimple and chic! <33
leave it long, you can always hike it up when you want it short
ReplyDeleteKeep it long definitely. But I love the way you have styled it here - I know it is just converse and a basic black tee, but it looks really comfortable and casually elegant.
ReplyDeleteI loved the long version more!
ReplyDeletekeep the length. it's so glamorous that way!
ReplyDeleteyou look so adorable in these. very fun!

Thanks for the advice and kind words, girls! a statement skirt like this doesn't need much else, so a T and converse were a great way to just feel comfortable and stylish. I guess I'll keep it long and hike it up when needed :D
ReplyDeletedid you just roll the waist to make it fit shorter? I like it both ways...
