I'm really digging the simple but perfect mix of preppy/boho/retro styling going on on their webshop, very inspirational. They are using a lot of pieces that you might already own, but the way they are combined is both fresh and classic. I love how the pieces are SO versatile! I can see the grey sweater looking cute with any of the above pictured dresses or skirts, and the same goes for the jackets and the shoes: I just want all of it so I can have the perfect fall ready wardrobe! I absolutely positively want a long skirt like the one above. I imagine it looking gorgeous with a fitted graphic tee/bandshirt and some Dr. Martens! Hello nineties, I'm totally into you. By switching it up and wearing heels with the skirt and the graphic T you get something new, mixing fifties and nineties, ladylike and grunge. I'm seeing it, am I completely delusional?
Fashion is evil I tell you. Everytime some shop comes up with an amazing collection, promoting the image of a girl I would like to be, I want to try it on for size. It's like new fashion allows us to explore new sides of ourselves. I am a very versatile person. Some might call me fickle or weird, but I consider myself FLEXIBLE. I have a big personality, and my personality is not constant or immobile. I have a lot of personality/personalities. And I love how fashion allows me to feel and act out all of the people I am! When I put on a long dress, I feel like a very different version of myself than when I am wearing pants and suspenders. Not completely different, but it has an effect on the way I carry myself. I'm always a bubbly, impulsive, headstrong girl but when I'm wearing a dress, I bring that personality in a more flirtacious way while when I'm wearing my trousers, I'm more of a tomboy with a devil may care attitude.
Fashion allows me to push my boundaries and play my part in the movie that is my life. I love seeing myself as a character in a movie through my outfits. Honestly, I guess what I'm really doing is imagining what impression I make on people, and trying to control that impression.
Fashion is the control freak's enabler.
But I still want that skirt.
Great fall inspirations. I still like plaids and flower prints!
