It's not easy to take pictures in the middle of the day on a sunny marketplace, but my sister and I made it work by using the staircase of Sint Niklaas' gothic revival-style city hall as a backdrop. The architecture broke and reflected the harsh daylight in a breathtaking way and coincidentally worked perfectly with my rather monochromatic outfit. I'd been wanting to put together an outfit in white or pale grey tones all over, and I absolutely love how this one came together. I felt very elegant yet relaxed aka the best way to feel.
BTW you might have noticed, but I had a haircut last week! The hairstylist cut off as little as possible as I'm still recovering from last year's drastic haircut (which I can now admit did suit me), but the biggest difference are the awesome layers she added around my face. Face framing layers are important because they can be great or they can just look like growing out bangs (aka what last year's haircut looked like a little too much). They should add volume, balance and movement and not be too choppy or severe. I give my current layers an A+!
So, the outfit, the light in these pics and my new haircut: thoughts please!
