What do you do when you're a blogger and you happen to stumble upon a gorgeous retro fair that magically matches your outfit? You thank your lucky stars that you're there with a camera and a dude to take a few quick snaps. I mean, as silly and superficial as outfitblogging may feel from time to time, I thoroughly enjoy the creativity that comes with creating a beautiful image, and these shots really work for me. The man running the merry-go-round was super friendly, which is a nice change from people getting angry when you take pictures in the vicinity of their store/whatever.
Three standout pieces I want to talk about here: the belt, the skirt and the coat. First, the belt is a piece that vaguely references the ubiquitous double G Gucci belt that every high end blogger seems to own right now. I have to admit even I have been tempted to shell out 350€ for the belt, even though that is an insane amount to pay for, well, a belt. But it's such a gorgeous belt. This double circle belt from ASOS is dirt cheap, provides a similar elegant accent to an outfit, and isn't an out-and-out designer knock off. I love!
Second, the embroidered skirt. This is another piece that was produced by Zara a season or two ago, and has now been picked up by Shein, which is ideal if you missed out on the skirt the first time around. The shape was a bit weird when it arrived (too full on the bottom), but it was easy enough to take in a bit and now it fits like a glove. Be sure to size up because it is very short otherwise.
Finally, this gorgeous rust/burgundy shade faux fur/teddy coat! Would you believe me if I told you it's just €30 and part of the Lidl holiday collection? I wouldn't have believed it myself, honestly. The quality is nicer than Primark and the price is super sweet. It'll be available online from December 4th, and I urge you to be quick if you want it. Half my friend circle has wishlisted it.
Hope you like the look! Cheers!
