It's been quite a while since I took these pictures - I've had three two different haircolours since! How time flies. The outfit is still very indicative of my fav pieces for spring-summer 2017, though. The floral embroidery denim jacket, the denim culottes, the old-but-super-on-trend straw bag and these platform sandals are all pieces I keep going back to, over and over again. I'm happy to say that at 30, I can confidently claim that I have definitely found my style.
Having this blog to look back on makes it easier to discern those common threads that surpass trends, those pieces that will always spark my interest, those colours and silhouettes that make me happy when I wear them. It may sound frivolous, but if wearing pretty clothes is so central to your identity as it is to me (I mean, why would I blog about outfits for seven years otherwise), it's really nice to know what your aesthetic is and feel comfortable in it.
I've had a pretty great time lately. Not just finishing up my PhD, but one of my very dearest friends is getting married in September and has asked me to be her maid of honour. I may have shed a little tear when she did. And two days ago, my besties planned a surprise visit to the Efteling for my 30th birthday, aka the best bday plan ever. Life is good :-) Cheers!
