I've had a couple of outfits lately that I consider my best work yet (hahaha that sounds SO douchy when you're talking about an outfit blog), and this one definitely belongs in my personal hall of fame. I just love how everything came together here: the outfit, the accessories, the lighting and the backdrop. The whole thing just has this elegant, French bohemienne vibe. You know, not the whole "Coachella, denim cut-offs, feathers in your hair" bohemian thing, but the bohémienne of Vanessa Paradis. Feminine, elegant yet relaxed, flowy and always impeccably accessorized. Romantic, but never sugary sweet. Although Vanessa would probably swap the coat for a velvet blazer.
Parisian Bohémienne is less cliché than Coachella boho, which also makes it easier to make your own. When you do the Coachella thing, everyone immediately recognizes you as one of "those girls". not that there's anything wrong with that, but it makes it harder to express your individual take on the style.
You know what else is très chic? Almost stopping in some dog poo smears while you're trying to effortlessly walk-pose. Thank god we managed to immortalize that exact moment on camera. Say cheese!
