banana leave print blouse, hat: H&M - straw tote bag: Pimkie - shorts: Bershka - friendship bracelets: Etsy - sandals: c/o Zinda
Hi guys! As you might be able to note from the lack of tan (and mosquito bites), these pictures were taken before we left on our awesome French holiday. I reused the field from this outfit post, because seriously it's such a great backdrop, right? This shirt has been doing heavy duty as swimsuit cover-up, and I'm really glad I made the effort to stalk some H&M shops until I found one that wasn't a bit wonky. I tried on this shirt in several different renditions, and everytime something was off: the buttons were off-center, one side was longer than the other, buttons not evenly spaced out etcetera. Bad construction happens sometimes when you buy a highly trendy item for 14.99€ at H&M, which is why I rather not shop online with this particular brand: I'm a stickler for detail, and when I know a garment doesn't fit quite right, I keep focusing on its flaws, totally removing the fun of wearing it. But I found one that didn't seem to have any noticeable issues, and I've been wearing it a lot. The banana leaves are such a classy summer print, like something you might envision being worn on a yacht. Even if you wear them with skanky, pretty much underbutt-baring ripped denim shorts. I call that a win.
