Breaking out the boots again for a trendy outfit featuring my favourite skater skirt, and this super warm cropped sweater that I've been wearing a lot more often than I thought I would. If I'm perfectly honest, I used to not really get the point of cropped sweaters. Sweaters are supposed to keep you warm, crop tops are supposed to keep you cool. SO CONFUSING. But cropped sweaters actually look really great with dresses and high waisted skirts, creating a more streamlined silhouette than if you'd be wearing a regular sweater.
I have a super long Christmas break coming up, and I'm mega excited because of alllll the sleep I'll be getting. Seriously, I'm looking forward to: being able to do my make up in daylight instead of making it work with my bathroom lighting while it's still pitch black outside, having time to cook, sleeping in, reading, seeing my family over the holidays, and going shopping with my girlfriends and my sis. Oh, and not having to stress about work for a little while. Heaven.

ReplyDeleteI love this mix of green and black! I've been really into shades of green like this lately and I think I'm going to have to wear my green pieces with black more often. I'm a big fan of cropped sweaters because they actually fit me more like a normal sweater should instead of coming down past my butt.

Neoprene is a fun fabric to play with. I like them in skirts and dresses. You wore it so well with this cropped top and still able to keep warm. That's the main thing.

ReplyDeleteCrop sweates are confusing me too, but I remember having one of those in high school and having fun with it pairing it with longer layers underneath as well!
