Geox Snakeskin Ballet Flats

A while ago, I was invited over at Brussels' Geox store to check out the brand's SS14 collection. I was immediately interested, because if there's anything I have learned by getting older it is that cheap shoes do not make my feet happy. I have literally gotten too old to wear crappy shoes just because they look cute, and now that I work full-time I feel like my body deserves better than plastic trendy pieces that offer zero support and pinch in all the wrong places. Now, since I don't know Geox' style that well - except for the fact that they make classic shoes in high quality materials that allow your feet to breathe and thus limit sweating - I clicked on over to their website. And low and behold: it seemed that I wouldn't even need to give up 'cute' for 'comfort'. Proof, you ask? Here you go!

I had a pretty difficult time making up my mind about which ones to take home (since I was lucky enough to be gifted a pair!), but in the end I decided NOT to fall for beautiful but impractical heels, or stunning but trendy slip-ons or espadrilles. The snakeskin ballet flats are unlike anything I already had in my shoe-closet, they are comfortable and they go with everything. Perfect shoe for the office. Obviously, I've been wearing my flats a lot ever since. Proof? Again? Gosh you are so demanding.

And you can bet your ass I am adding Geox to my regular shopping destinations for when I ever need shoes again. Or, you know, when I don't actually -need- them. I can't tell no lie.
