I have more yellow dresses than your average person, I guarantee you, but this particular one is definitely a favourite in my collection. I love its warm marigold hue, its twirl-ready fullness and the off shoulder ruffle is always a winner. Also very much in love with these (faux) mother of pearl snakeskin Birkenstocks I got on sale via Torfs! I had been contemplating getting another pair of Birks because they really are the best for my problem feet, but I couldn't decide what style to get. The two strap Arizona model is one of the most popular, but I feared they would look too clunky with my skinny legs and preference for knee length hemlines. I ended up ordering them anyway to try on with a couple of looks, and obviously I fell in love as soon as I saw their holo-esque finish. They seem to go with mostly anything, and of course they treat my feet with the utmost care (after walking them in of course).

I wore this outfit for an absolutely gorgeous summer's day going out for ice cream with my love. I always try to make the most of our weekends, not in a crazy way (we're not exactly clubbing people) but by eating good food, trying to make little trips close to our home and just having fun together. It can be depressing to realize how much time a person wastes sitting at a desk their whole life, so I feel almost obligated to actually stop and smell the roses when we're both off from work and the sun is out. Aren't we all most happy when we're on holiday? I try to evoke that feeling on our weekends off as well. Which can create a bit of pressure when you can't seem to relax after a stressful week at the office, but no one's perfect right? Cheers!
