Hi babes! Raise your hand if you have a job where you spent most of your day staring at screens. Yep, technology is basically the best thing ever if you ask me, but it also means being stuck at your desk, developing eye strain and headaches that make it hard to perform at your best capacity. If all of this sounds familiar, I have three tips for you:
- use the 20-20-20 rule, which means that every 20 minutes you should give your eyes a break by focusing on something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. This is an optician's tip to prevent tired eyes
- invest in a matte screen, set it at a brightness that is similar to the light level of your current surroundings, and use the blue light filter that most devices come with these days when it starts getting late
- if all else fails, get yourself some prescription eye-drops and try out glasses that filter blue light out. Like these e-Polette Joplin glasses I'm wearing today.
