This is sort of an outfit repeat from last year with slightly different pieces but if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? A very vibrant dark blue will always look stunning on black. But my hair looked way better last year, SOBZ. Yeah I'm never getting over that one stupid haircut I never should have gotten. But I'm kind of getting close to last year's length again which I'm super happy about.
BY THE WAY I'm in the market for a new foundation. I think I want something slightly high end, like, not drugstore. Medium coverage, mattifying but not drying, liquid and in a light, cool-neutral shade. Seriously if anyone has any tips, DO share. I've been trying the Lancome Teint Idole 24h for two days now (got a sample) but I've noticed some dry spots on my forehead and I think I'm right between shades. The one I got matched for is too dark for my neck (and will be too dark for winter), and the lighter one was toooo light and pink for me. Finding the perfect foundation is such a hassle.

ReplyDeleteIk ben heel hard fan van de Giorgo Armani Fond de Teint, maar die is wel prijzig denk ik. Maar hij is heel licht, zacht en dekt toch goed! Succes met de zoektoch, 't is niet makkelijk :).

ReplyDeleteClinique is te koop bij Ici Paris. Ik ben zelf al een tijdje fan van de YSL touche éclat foundation: zacht, licht, niet vettig maar ook zeker niet uitdrogend. Geeft echt zo'n dewy finish!

ReplyDeleteIk heb een gemengde huid die soms de neiging heeft vettig te worden. 60 euro blijkbaar :/ niet echt budgetproof dus... Maar hij heeft wel de Knack Weekend Beauty Awards gewonnen: Armani ontwikkelde een ultralichte fluïde op basis van vluchtige oliën die moeiteloos uitsmeert, voldoende maar natuurlijke dekking geeft en de huid zacht doet aanvoelen. Het resultaat is streeploos, foolproof en eerder mat.

ReplyDeleteAbout the foundation: I discovered mineral foundation a while ago and it's the most perfect thing ever, easy to put on and more importantly it lets your skin breathe 'cause it doesn't have any ingredients that could damage your skin or cause breakouts (I'm looking at you, silycones! *shakes fist in the air*). Maybe it's a bit hard to find the perfect color for you, especially if you order them online, but I would recommend this site, To choose the perfect shade I bought the 5 sample pack () and then I bought the best color for me. Or, you can buy two mineral foundations and mix them to make the perfect shade. Hope it was helpful!

Dior Nude BB Creme (Ik heb hem voor ongeveer 37 euro gekocht, geloof ik.) Het mag dan wel een BB Cream zijn (*kuch* marketing *kuch*), maar hij geeft mij net voldoende dekking. Rode wangen zijn pretty much gone op de meeste dagen. De finish is wat mij betreft quasi perfect, zeer naturel. Er zit wat roze in, maar dat is meer om de teint op te frissen. Je moet hem echt aanbrengen om te zien of het een goeie match is.
ReplyDeleteAnders is Chanel Vita Lumière Aqua ook wel echt goed en YSL Teint Touche Eclat. (Die laatste heeft ook echt een heel brede kleurenselectie.)

I always keep hearing about the Jouer tinted moisturizer but never tried it myself :) (I'm still perfectly happy with my drugstore foundations so why spend more?)

ReplyDeleteAlso, I liked your haircut, but I totally get the regret. I loved having a pixie cut, but the years it took to grow back my hair were torture and made me resolve never to do that again! (Also, the husband would not be happy) I think your hair is gorgeous no matter what, though.
