I finally overcame my pathological laziness and went OUTSIDE with my camera+tripod to take good pictures last week! The rare sunny weather made me realize I should make the most out of it, so I packed my things, grabbed my bike and made the incredible effort of riding my bike for 2 minutes into the fields. Better than my house/backyard, right? Time to shake things up! I took enough pictures to last me two post, so there's more to come after this. I'll just save them up for a rainy day, and Lord knows that rainy day is probably not far off.
I messed around with my photo editing program again to get this summery vintage effect. Ya like?
The world is just that much more lovely when the sun is shining. I love how nature is bursting with life right now!
Outfitwise I went for another sweet vintage summer outfit with these soft leather oxfords and my yellow shirtdress. Very simple but perfect for a small cycle and frolick in the sun.

ReplyDeleteAh, sorry to appear like such a creeper. I also commented on the chictopia photo of this outfit. I liked it so much, and when I saw you had a blog I just had to check it out. And I'm so happy that I did! You have an amazing fashion sense! I'm so jealous of all your beautiful dresses, skirts, shirts, and anything else you have in your closet! Everything on this blog is just gorgeous! I'm your newest follower! Anyway, if you have time, I would love it if you checked out my fashion blog. If you like it and decide to follow back that would be amazing and I would probably die from happiness! It would mean so much! Hoping to hear from you soon and looking forward to more posts!

Different scenery! How delightful. :) For some reason, I just cannot take pictures of myself outside. Either my tripod is not tall enough or my backyard's lighting sucks. Sigh. Oh well. Lovin' the summery yellow on the dress!

ReplyDeleteMaybe you should spend an entire afternoon out in the country, a few outfits in a bag and take TONS of pictures, because these countryside ones are simply stunning. The light is gorgeous and they bring out the best of the outfits you wear. That's just the thing about lovely belgium, the amazing woods and fields are so gorgeous because of the sh*tty weather! :)

ReplyDeletei understand what you mean, outfit posts look a lot better when you get out and shoot them some place nice, but its just finding the time and effort isn't it? I have been planning to do an outfit post for the past week and just haven't gotten round to doing it! But i definitely need to beat that and do it tomorrow. i admire the regularity of your outfit posts, you really stick at it.
may i ask, what camera & lens do you use? i'm looking for a new camera at the moment and trying to gather as many names as possible!
oh i love carrie, she's always been such a sweetheart to me. and i know exactly what you mean, that shallow depth of field is exactly what i need.
ReplyDeletethanks for getting back to me so soon! and take my word of encouragement- carry on doing what you're doing, because you're doing it beautifully :)
