A few days ago, my boyfriend and me took advantage of a last day of beautiful weather and grabbed our bikes again to explore the prettier bits of our town. My legs are still itchy because of my frolicking in the rye, but it was a beautiful day and a great bike ride. Ride along with me!
I love rye fields.
They stimulate our senses. The sound of the wind whistling through the rye plays in our ears, the golden flicker of its sea-like waves glistens in our eyes, our fingers glide through the prickly strands bustling with bug life and our nose catches that ripe scent of summer.
I love rye fields.
When I was just a little girl me and my siblings would always search the thorny bushes for blackberries. This was way back when blackberries were still fruit rather than big cellphones with extra gadgets.
I wish I could still go play hide and seek in the cornfields, but I'm all grown up now. The leaves just get in my face.

Poppies are my favorite flowers.
PS: This afternoon, my boyfriend leaned over, kissed me, looked me in the eye and told me I am the one. Life can be better than the movies sometimes.

Mmmmm blackberries.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are amazing. Probably my favorite post of yours! Can't ask for a more picturesque setting than a rye field. Also, this makes me want to visit Belgium like whoa.
I'm really glad you have such a strong relationship. <3 I like the belgian country side and I hope I can get pictures like that now that i'm going to study there! I'm so excited but I arrive in September i guess it won't be warm by then.
ReplyDeleteWell, awesome dress, as usual. Love your flawless style!

ReplyDeleteSupermooie foto's! Ik woon nu niet bepaald in de grootste stad van 't land maar zo'n mooie velden vind ik hier nergens (of ik zou toch niet weten waar.) En je hebt zo te horen een lieve vriend. Life can indeed be better than the movies. :-)
