At 14°C, the sunny afternoon pictured in these shots seems incredibly far away. I did very much enjoy the fact that the weather on this particular day allowed me to wear shorts and a sleeveless blouse with patent brogues, a cool (or according to some probably slightly schizophrenic) mix-and-match type combo I don't get to wear all that often.

I'm not as "experimental" with my style as I used to be a couple of years ago, because I seem to have found my style and don't feel the need to try new things constantly. As a result, these days something like wearing a more formal/menswear inspired shoe with a casual outfit is already quite "fashionblogger-y" in my book! I always try to put together outfits that are actually wearable rather than a look that fares better on pinterest than in your daily life, which is also why you won't see me wearing heels all that often.

Brogues, however, are an indispensable part of my wardrobe because they go with everything. Even summer-type outfits, as you can see here. If you go back to last winter, I posted a bunch of outfits featuring these shoes because they are so cute, versatile and comfortable, and I look forward to wearing them with everything again over the next couple of months!
