So, I guess I'm supposed to write an introduction here! After probably a year of contemplating it, I finally mustered up the courage to start my own "independent" blog. I blogged frequently at Chictopia (www.chictopia.com/annebeth) for like half a year, but I see this blog as a way to develop my writing skills and to keep up with the fashion world on a daily basis, while adding bits of me to the mix. I want to become a fashion journalist, combining a job and a passion. It's a dream of mine, and this is one of the first steps I'm taking in that direction.
I study communication-sciences at the university of Antwerp. I'm in my second year now, and I have two more years to go. I'm 22 years old, I started studying two years later because I pay for everything myself and I worked as a sales assistant before starting at the uni to save up. I live with my boyfriend. We've been together for almost 6 years. We have three cats.
I live on a budget, so you won't be seeing big labels on my blog. I shop at Zara, H&M, COS, Pimkie, Mango and other highstreet stores. I feel like I'm living proof of the fact that you can look original and fashionable without paying insane amounts of money for pieces of fabric that cover your body.
I'm a shoes and dresses addict. I wear dresses almost every day, I think that pants really aren't as comfortable, easy and flattering as people think them to be.
Everything inspires me: songs (I have a really broad taste, reaching from classical music to led zeppelin to system of a down to lady gaga), movies, art, people, food, anything!
The title of my blog is a play at my nationality (I'm dutch, living in Belgium), my love for boats (I always wanted to be a pirate when I grew up), and fashion.
I'd like to welcome every future reader for accompanying me and supporting me! If you have requests or remarks, feel free to share them! My english isn't perfect, so if you read a mistake, please tell me!

ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet! Thanks! I also like my hair better now, a week ago or so it was too long to tuck behind my ears and too short to wear untucked so it just sucked but now I'm going towards a normal haircut and it's okey :D thanks for following me!
