turtleneck, red thigh high boots: Stradivarius - plaid mini skirt: vintage - beret: Galeries Lafayette - belt: Gucci - necklace: c/o Lobogato - tights: c/o Gambettes box
I never pass up on an occasion to dress thematically, and Christmas has got me wanting to wear all the red things. I go through these periods of being really into certain particular pieces or looks or colours, kind of like Picasso but less genius obvi, and right now I'm firmly in a bright red period.
When we left for Paris, I had the explicit plan to pick up a bright red beret somewhere, because ya girl loves any kind of headwear and because a red beret would be the perfect punch of colour to brighten up grey winter days. After finding my perfect red beret at Galeries Lafayette, I set out to find a red turtleneck for layering purposes, and when I spotted one at Stradivarius, my eye was caught by these gorgeous bright red thigh high boots. It was like a bright red snowball, man, and before I knew it I ended up looking like this. The style blogger personification of Christmas.
I have no regrets though, the boots were only €45 and they are total showstoppers if you ask me. Also, the mid height block heel is surprisingly comfortable. They were a little looser in the leg when I bought them, but the fabric was thin enough to hand sew them to fit my skinny legs. I can't wait to wear these some more but I'm also scared of them getting dirty.
I also tried a new filter in lightroom, a slightly more dramatic edit to allow the red to pop, hope you like the pics!
