Hi guys! How are you all doing? I'm fully enjoying the onset of fall by drinking hot cocoa, watching Catfish and burning apple scented candles with two of our cats sleeping on my legs. Life is good right now. Everything is going pretttty great at my new job right now as well. As you might know, after finishing my PhD I left academia for a job as a market researcher. I basically started the week after defending my dissertation and I've already learned so much! But I feel like my job description aligns really well with my talents and interests, and that is basically the best thing deal you can strike, professionally. Also, my colleagues are awesome.
I've been toning down my style a little bit at work, keeping it a tad more conservative than I normally would, but I feel like there's room for me to show my individuality. I'll just have to let everyone get used to my sartorial strangeness gradually. And maybe not wear leopard AND bright pink ruffles to any client meetings.
