A couple of weeks ago, after running some errands, the dude and me ended up in Dendermonde on one of the first beautiful, spring-like days this year. I had never really explored Dendermonde before, and I was instantly infatuated with the gorgeous, cherry blossom lined canal which passes through the town. Perfect picture backdrop or what?? Don't let the sun fool you though, the wind was bone chilling and I was happy I was bundled up in my robe coat. I'd been planning on wearing the coat with this hat because they're virtually the same shade of berry/burgundy, and putting the two together just straddles the line between ridiculous and awesome in the most perfect way. The rest of the outfit is super simple: comfortable, minimalist and all black. It all came together quite elegantly.
By the way, say hello to my new handbag! I'm not the kind of person who switches up handbags all the time, I have two that I alternate on most days (my & Other Stories satchel and my small Mango cross body bag), and now, thanks to Duifhuizen, I'm adding this beautiful Maestro bag to my daily rotation. I prefer a medium size bag because I only end up stuffing bigger bags until I'm murdering my back from lugging around all kinds of shit, and I love how structured this particular bag is. It reminds me of the elegant, structured handbags of the 1960s, which is an aesthetic that will always work very well with my style. Prepare to see much more of this baby!
