Food for Friday: Rice, Cabbage and Ground Beef Casserole

I like sharing some food on Friday. You've probably already had dinner (unless you live in a totally different time zone and you're in my yesterday/tomorrow AMAGA confusingz), but in case you didn't, here is a yummy idea to try out. And you KNOW how much you hate having to decide what to make for din din every single day, so thank me for figuring that out for you!

I had a big old cabbage leftover from the day before - seriously, does anyone ever eat an entire cabbage? I could feed fifty people with just one of those - but I'm sick of all the leftovers ending up in the bin, so I set my mind on figuring out a tasty new recipe using my cabbage. More precisely, a rice, ground beef, bell pepper, onion and cabbage gratin. Turns out, that shit is delish.

So without further ado, my recipe!

What you need: a cabbage, rice (any type would work fine), arrabiata tomato sauce, a big onion, a bell pepper, ground beef, cumin, curry powder, chili powder

What you'll do: cook your rice and get a pan with some olive oil heated up. Add your bell pepper and onion. When those have had som>e time frying, add and cook your beef. Add the tomato sauce and herbs. When the minced meat and rice are done, layer them in a casserole: first the rice, then the meat sauce. This will free up your pan. Using just one pan reduces your washing up, PRO TIP. Anyway, now you just finely chop up your cabbage and stir fry it with some butter in your - now free - pan. It will start smelling creamy and amazing. When your cabbage is done to your liking, throw it in your casserole as a final layer. Top it all off with some cheese and stick that shiz in the oven, preheated at 200°C for about 20 minutes.

What you get:

Enjoy!
