Aqua Shorts

I don't do ultra casual often. I hardly ever REALLY dress up as I usually try to find a casual version of my loved girly retro style, but most of the time I don't go casual all the way. Makes me feel naked, somehow, and horribly underdressed. I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing an outfit as casual as this one to class, for example, strange as that might sound. I guess I'm one of those crazy girls who like dresscodes and dressing for the right occasion! This ultra casual Sunday outfit is something I'd wear on a trip to the beach, or to paint a house or something, lol. But sometimes it feels nice to just let it all go, you know? I feel like a completely different person when I dress like a teenage tomboy from the early sixties, like in this outfit, compared to when I'm wearing my midi skirts. I imagine I even WALK differently. I could definitely see my poses being slightly different! How strange is that? I guess I just really love dressing up and playing a part in the play called life.

Also: ever so subtle colorblocking with the fuschia lips, aqua shorts, coral sandals and banana (toes) and lilac (fingers) nailpolish. I'm SUCH a trendwhore.

    Oh I looove this! Everything from head to toe, the color of the shirt is soo cute, (my favorite color) the shirt is amazing, and so are your shoes. And the bag is awesome, I love that kind of bags, every time I go shopping and I see bags like that I want to buy a dozen of them haha.
    I am such a shopaholic, but I contain myself all the time because my husband is with me all the time when we go shopping for anything. ( I think I need a -girl- friend to go out shopping with, lol).

    Man, it looks like it's beach weather in Belgium! I love your subtle colourblocking and awesome blouse. And I don't usually dress down either, but I think it's just because dressier styles suit my body type better. : )

    Your colourblocking is super subtle though, I love it! Those shorts are gorgeous. Everyone needs a few days of casual wear, I love this though. I don't like being super dressy or super casual, a nice middle ground is best!

    I completely agree. i always feel different in something casual, and yes i think i walk differently too. this is such a fresh outfit though, not in a way that like damn you fresh girl. but fresh like summery? the colours are gorgeous esp with white.

    I think this is the first time that I've seen you wearing shorts. I adore the color and I agree with what you said. We always love to dress up and it should match the occasion or even the mood we're in. :)

    Being casual takes away the fun in dressing up.
