Beauty: Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani blush palette, eyebrow kit and lipstick review

Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani blush palette review

Few beauty collections have been so anxiously awaited and heavily debated as the Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani collaboration. I already reviewed their eyeshadow palette and four of the lipstick shades earlier (read more about that here), but today I'm showing you my impressions of the second part of the collection, which I received to review. I'm prettttttty sure all of you are most excited about that blush/highlighter/bronzer palette, so let's check that one out first!

Beauty: Orly Melrose spring 2016 review

Beauty: Orly Melrose spring 2016 review

Orly frequently launches new collections, and for spring 2016, the theme is Melrose. I know Melrose best from the glorious soap series Melrose Place which is set in West-Hollywood, LA, and I guess I can see how that may have translated into this collection: funky, free spirited and versatile. Orly is an LA brand, which means they got their inspiration for this collection close to home. The Melrose collection boasts neon brights, a holo glitter, a muted teal and a pearlescent/duochrome polish. Let's check those out in detail.

Beauty: MakeupRevolution Flawless palette review + two looks.

If I could wear one colour family of eyeshadow for the rest of my life, it would be made up of red/pink neutrals. I don't know why, but I have a huge soft spot for red toned eyemakeup, but I seem to be one of the only red-fans out there because red based eyeshadow palettes are hard to come by. I know Limecrime's Venus palette is red based and gorgeous (and on my wishlist), but apart from that, my many google searches yielded no results. Until I happened upon MakeupRevolution's Flawless palette.

The Flawless palette boasts a stunning mix of neutrals, muted pinks, coppery golds, reds and smokey dark shades: anything a girl like me could ever wish for. To make the deal even sweeter, this palette only costs €10. And if I can trust my fellow beautybloggers' reviews, the quality is actually top notch. Let's see ifI agree!

Beauty: micellar waters and oil cleansers - what product should you use?

Beauty: micellar waters and oil cleansers: what cleanser should you use?

If you're a makeup lover like I am, there's three things you can't live without: good makeup, good application tools, and good cleansers. I've tried loads of different ways to get my skin pure again after a day of being slathered in a bajillion layers of products, and I figured I might as well provide you an overview based on my experiences.

Beauty: Estee Lauder Modern Muse Eau de Rouge and Sculpting Gloss review

Beauty: Estee Lauder Modern Muse and sculpting gloss review

Today I will be reviewing two beautiful Estee Lauder products that I think you will like very much:the Modern Muse Eau de Rouge eau de toilette, and the Pure Color Envy sculpting gloss in Suggestive Kiss. Bot of these were sent to my  for reviewing purposes, but as always, all of the opinions stated are my own.

First up, Modern Muse Eau de Rouge, which has just launched. Estee Lauder already launched a perfume version of this fragrance in 2015 (Modern Muse Le Rouge), but this lighter, more affordable eau de toilette version is brand new and worth a sniff if you are looking for something fresh.

Beauty: Longer Lash serum without prostaglandin review

Green esthetics Longer Lash serum without Prostaglandin review

I think I first heard about lash growth serum about four years ago. I've never been challenged in the lash department (count your privileges), but I know that a lot of people are frustrated about their (lack of) natural lash-resources. Mascara can only do so much if you don't have a lot to work with, and no one has time to put on falsies every single day.

Latisse has been getting more and more popular across the pond (I read a lot of U.S. based beauty blogs) because it has very real, very dramatic results, but if you're well informed, you also know that those results can come at a cost. Not only have I read about rare cases where use of Latisse has resulted in facial hairgrowth and changed iris colour (from blue to brown, for example), the prostaglandin used in Latisse has also been linked to reduced fat around the eye, resulting in drooping eyelids and sunken eyesockets. Yikes.

HOWEVER, how about alternative options? Green Esthetics offers a lash growth serum that does not contain prostaglandin. To see what it does contain, check out this comprehensive, exhaustive list of ingredients. I love it when brands are honest and open about how the sausage is made, and if you're curious about lash growth serums, this one is definitely a much safer option than Latisse and co. The proof is in the pudding, however (what's with all these food based metaphors?), so I used the serum at least once a day for two months to show you guys what it does.

Beauty: comparing my current favourite mascaras

review: comparing Diorshow mascara, MAC Haute & Naughty, Urban Decay Perversion and Maybelline Go Chaotic!

There's a few products that are indispensable in my beauty routine, and one of them is definitely mascara. My brows and my lashes define my look, and without doing my brows and lashes, I feel like my face doesn't have the same amount of expression.  Finding the right products is obviously paramount to getting the look you want, and over the past months I have received a couple of mascaras for reviewing purposes, and bought a couple of others. This is a roundup of my four favourites, and a breakdown of what makes them great so that you can figure out which one of these would be your perfect match.

Beauty: Yves Rocher Cuir Vetiver review

Beauty: Yves Rocher Cuir Vetiver review

Hi guys! Something for the dudes today (or the girls who love androgynous fragrances, of course). A while ago, I was invited to a press event all the way over in West-Flanders, where Yves Rocher would introduce us to some new products against the gorgeous backdrop of a laurel arboretum. Most of the new lines haven't launched yet, but one has, and it happens to be one of my favourites out of all the new stuff: the Cuir Vetiver fragrance.

Now, photographs of a bottle of fragrance aren't the most exciting thing to see, nor are swatches of the hair and body shampoo on the back of my hand, so this post will mostly be me waxing poetically about Cuir Vetiver. Oh, and I'll share a few pics of the Yves Rocher event!
