The cooler temperatures mean one thing to me: time to swap my sandals for boots. And as much as I adore my birks, I'm always pretty happy to be able to break out my vintage boots (and Uggs!) again. These beauties just deserve all the time in the limelight they can get.
Another thing that makes me happy on a cold and grey day, is a good sparkly mani. Looking down at my electric blue + multi colour glitter fingertips never fails at bringing a smile on my face. That's what make up means to me. Not something that makes me insecure or makes me frustrated at my imperfections, but a little, tangible, effortless thing that brings infinite joy in a day filled with to-dos and must-figure-outs. When my hair looks good, when my eyebrows are just right, when my eyeshadow is blended perfectly, it makes me feel accomplished. An easy way to satisfy my perfectionism, much easier than a PhD!

Hope something made you happy today.
